About Crosssum – Daily Number Placement Puzzle

Begin with a small target or a line that already contains a fixed number. Each placement affects both a row and a column, so check the crossing clue before deciding where the next tile belongs. There is no timer to race.

Crosssum is a daily number-placement puzzle built from the digits 1 through 9. Each appears exactly once in a three-by-three grid. Totals at the top describe the columns, totals at the right describe the rows, and two fixed numbers give the deduction somewhere firm to begin.

Nothing is spent while you think. Move tiles around, compare the live sums with their targets, and restart the grid as often as you like. The completed arrangement is the only submission, and any arrangement that satisfies every clue and fixed square is accepted.

How to play Crosssum

Place each number from 1 to 9 once and match all six edge totals.

1. Choose a number tile, then place it in an empty square.
2. The clues above are column totals; the clues on the right are row totals.
3. Fixed numbers stay put. Rearrange freely, then submit the balanced grid once.
