Dailiverse is a set of daily word, number and logic puzzles, run from Hungary by an independent developer. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the site. They are meant to be read, so they are written plainly.

Using Dailiverse means you accept them. If you do not, the site is free to leave and nothing here obliges you to stay.

Who can play

Dailiverse is for players aged 13 and over. If you are under 16, in Hungary and much of the EU you should have a parent or guardian's agreement before creating an account. We do not — and realistically cannot — verify anyone's age; there is nothing here but puzzles, and we are trusting you to be honest about this.

Your account

An account is optional: every daily puzzle, streak, archive and leaderboard works without one. If you do create one, keep your password to yourself, use an email address you actually control, and tell us if you think someone else has got in. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account.

You can download everything we hold and delete your account at any time from the account page. See the privacy notice for what that removes.

Playing fairly

Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day, so the rules are about protecting that:

• Play the games yourself. No bots, scripts, solvers or automated clients, and no scraping the site.
• Do not attack, overload or probe the service, work around its rate limits, or try to reach another player's account or data.
• Do not try to extract puzzles that have not been published yet, or the answers behind them, and do not exploit a bug that hands you either — tell us instead.
• Do not falsify a leaderboard result, or use more than one account to place on a board.

Sharing your own finished result — the emoji grid, your streak, your time — is encouraged; that is what the share button is for. Posting the day's answers where players who have not finished will see them is a mean thing to do, not a breach of contract, and we ask rather than forbid.

What you make public

The only thing you publish here is a display name, and only if you switch leaderboard visibility on — it is off until you do. Choose a name that is not illegal, hateful, obscene, or impersonating somebody. We can remove or reset a name that is not, and we will tell you why if we do.

The games themselves

The site, its games, its puzzles and its code belong to us, and these terms grant you no rights over them beyond playing. Some word lists are third-party data used under their own licences, credited in the repository's third-party notices. Nothing here stops you from writing about the games, screenshotting them, or sharing your results.

What it costs

Nothing. Every puzzle, streak, statistic, archive page and leaderboard is free, and we take no payments at all today. If a paid plan is ever offered, the daily games stay free, these terms will say so before it goes live, and nothing will start charging you without your explicit agreement.

Availability, and things changing

Dailiverse is a personal project offered as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that every puzzle will always be reachable, or that it will be free of bugs — and a game, a feature or a statistic may be changed, paused or retired. We do try to preserve what you have played, but you should not treat this site as the only place your results exist.

If a puzzle turns out to be broken, we may void or recalculate its results so the leaderboard for that day means something.

Suspension

We can suspend an account, remove results, or block access where someone breaks the fair-play rules above or uses the service unlawfully. We will act proportionately — removing a single bad result before removing an account — and we will tell you the reason, so you can contest it if we have made a mistake. You can stop using the site or delete your account whenever you like.

Liability

We are liable for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for anything we do fraudulently, and for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude — including, if you are a consumer, your mandatory rights under the law of the country you live in, which nothing here takes away. Beyond that, and given that this site is free, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data or lost streaks, or for the site being unavailable.

Which law applies

Hungarian law governs these terms, and the Hungarian courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protections of your own country's mandatory law, and you may bring a claim before your own local courts.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the site does. The date below is when they last did, and a change that materially affects you will be announced on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to play afterwards means you accept the new version.
