Glide
About Glide – Daily Sliding Puzzle
Glide is a daily route-finding puzzle on a small board of ice. Pick a direction and your token slides until something stops it: a wall, a block, or the edge of the board. It never halts in the middle of a run, so a move is a commitment to travel as far as that direction allows, and the board has to be read as a network of stopping points rather than a grid of steps.
Reaching the flag is usually easy. Reaching it in the fewest moves is the game, and that is why par stays hidden until you finish — knowing the target would turn a search into a countdown. You get one submission per day, but the board in your browser is a free sandbox until you make it: plan as long as you like, undo and reset cost nothing, and only the route you send counts.
Boards are generated by searching rather than by folding a random route, and rejected unless they need between six and twelve moves, use at least three distinct directions, and have a nearly unique shortest solution. Finish within one move of par and you win; finish at all and your streak survives. The leaderboard ranks on moves, and the shared result gives away your margin, never your route.
