About Number Trail – Daily Number Guessing Game

Number Trail is a daily higher-or-lower game. One whole number between 1 and 100 is hidden, everyone gets the same one, and you have seven guesses to corner it. Each guess comes back with an arrow: up if the answer is larger, down if it is smaller, a tick when you have it.

Seven guesses is not an arbitrary budget — it is exactly what a halving search needs for a hundred candidates, so the puzzle is always winnable and always requires you to actually halve. Guess the middle of the range that is still alive, read the arrow, and repeat; wander off that line and the seventh guess arrives before the answer does. A number cannot be guessed twice, so nothing is wasted by accident.

The number resets at midnight Budapest time and the pool cycles rather than sampling, so no answer repeats until every other one has been used. Your streak, win rate and guess average are kept for this game alone, and every past day stays playable in the archive without affecting them.
