About Sixteen Boards – Daily 16-Board Word Game

Sixteen Boards is 16 word games played with one keyboard. There are 16 separate hidden 5-letter words and a shared budget of 21 guesses, and every word you type is scored against all 16 answers independently — so a single guess returns 16 rows of green, gold and grey clues at once.

That changes what a good guess is. In a one-board word game you spend early guesses covering common letters; here information accrues 16 times faster, so the difficulty is not extracting clues but managing them. A board stops accepting guesses the moment you solve it, and the real skill is deciding when to chase a board you can nearly see and when to keep probing broadly for the ones you cannot.

The budget is where the game is decided. It was chosen by simulating a solver over these exact word lists and finding the point where the game becomes genuinely losable without being unfair — a couple of guesses fewer and a careful player loses often; a couple more and nobody does. You win only by solving every board within it. An optional strict mode, per-game statistics and a free archive of past days all work as they do elsewhere on the site.
